First decision, east or west side of Bayou Lafourche?  If you’ve ever driven in South Louisiana you know that for most roads which follow a bayou, there is also another road on the other side of the bayou as well. We usually drive the east side so today we took the west side.  Taking the west side, you drive through more of the many small towns while the east side is more countryside.  Either side of the bayou offers great views and interesting stops.
