Deja vu – Seibert, CO

Wind FarmTexas was in our rearview mirror and Colorado was ahead!  Five days of slowly waltzing across Texas was enough.  Repairs done, tornado weather behind us, blue skies in front, here we go.

Colorado has wind farms generating electricity.  They are amazing to see, high tech wind mills turning in the wind.

First stop Seibert, CO.  Two years ago we stopped in Seibert for an overnight stop.  Not much has changed in two years.  Seibert reminds us of a dying town.  It is a small town of mostly gravel streets with the main businesses being a supermarket, post office, coop and Shady Grove RV Campground.  Shady Grove is a basic overnight stop with full hook-ups and bikes.  The town does have a school and park with playground equipment.  One interesting thing is the street signs are made of wood – very unique.  The town is walkable and great for exercise.  We walked to the grocery, post office and coop.

We were able to sit out and enjoy a glass of wine without gale force winds!
