Bowie, TX – Day 2

LonghornsMobile RV Repairman is on his way which means it will be about two hours.  Not wanting to just sit and wait, we headed to Bowie.  Yesterday we noticed Sweet Boy’s Diner and decided to give it a try.  John had biscuits and gravy and we both had coffee.

It was not south Louisiana coffee but it had a good flavor.  The biscuits and gravy were good so says John.  While visiting with the diner staff we asked about the name and how it came to be.  The owner believes every mom has a “sweet boy” and so she named her diner after her “sweet boy”.  After about 30 minutes of socializing and drinking coffee we headed home.  On the way home, with wait time left, we decided to take the “back roads”.  Back roads they were – gravel.  We enjoyed the Texas countryside and the wildflowers.

Back home we continued to wait…..
