Enjoying the Cabot Trail, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia

The morning was crisp with a blue sky and mild winds as we set out on our adventure. Knowing it would be a long day, we stopped first for breakfast and coffee. Sitting on the outdoor patio enjoying coffee, we looked out toward the ocean almost smelling the salt air. This was our first stop on the Cabot Trail.

The Cabot Trail is approximately 185 miles and has been called the “best road trip” by some. We don’t know about “best”, but the drive was beautiful. The scenery was breathtaking and difficult to take our eyes away. There are many pull-offs on the trail and we took advantage of most. Many had hiking trails from easy and short to more strenuous.

Of course we stopped for food and snacks along the trail. The culinary aspect will be another blog. This blog will showcase the beauty of the Cabot Trail.
