It is local, it was recommended, and there was a full parking lot – it must be good. Those three facts usually bring us to great places for Saturday breakfast. This time we were wrong.
B.J.’s Diner had all the factors necessary for us trying a restaurant. This time we were fooled. We ordered a basic breakfast – eggs, grits, biscuits, and pancake. First off, the food was warm at best. The menu stated homemade pancakes — just not very tasty. The best thing was the biscuit which was not homemade.
The diner has free Wi-Fi; maybe that is why so many people visited. Although we did not see many computers sitting on tables.
We tried to find a saving grace, but there really was none. This is the first time we had food left and did not want a go-box.
This Saturday we learned just because the establishment is local, recommended, and has a full parking lot does not necessarily mean good food.
